This is a New Old Stock original Auto-Lite vibrating current-voltage regulator for the models listed below. 6 volt, 45-57 amp unit from the Auto-Lite "Hornet" and "Wasp" series. Designed for use with shunt type generators and features three operating units: circuit breaker, voltage regulator, and current limiting regulator. Also used on certain 1955-56 Hudson and Nash applications (Auto-Lite VBE-6101-A), and not compatible with 12 volt systems.
