Dear Friends,
I hope as you are reading this posting that you find yourself in good health. The last several months have been unlike any that a majority of us have experienced in our lifetimes. I for one did not expect Covid-19 or all of the restrictions and changes that it would bring. From March 24th to June 1st Roberts Motor Parts had 1 employee, me. I’ll tell you that working 12-hour days gives you a real appreciation for your employee's efforts. I am thankful beyond words to have help again.
Like many of you, I feel a sense of loss as a result of the many car show cancellations that occurred this year. The summer is and always has been car show season for everyone here at Roberts Motor Parts. For me, it's always been something that my Dad and I have done together. We are always thrilled to see the cars and perhaps run into a long time customer and share some time together.

I am happy to report that I have finished and brought to market the long awaited 1946 to 1948 Plymouth P15 Hubcap. These 10" officially licensed by FCA Chrysler caps are available for the first time in over 2 decades! I hope that you are as happy with them as I am. We are pleased to report that T166, 1941 to 1947 Dodge truck headlights are back in stock. We also should also expect T410, 1941-1947 Dodge Truck door latches, T143A, 1941 to 1947 Dodge Truck Hub Caps and T204A, 1948 to 1953 Dodge Truck Hub caps before the end of the year. It will be a huge relief to be able to supply those items again.

Earlier in the year we lost 3 longtime customers who had each been part of our lives for over 40 years. Bill Walsh of Lee New Hampshire was a Dodge Truck man through and through. He owned his first Dodge truck, a 1947 WC 1/2 ton before he could drive. Last summer my Dad and I visited with him to test fit something on his beloved Ethel, a Green B series truck he had owned for over 30 years. He had some health challenges, but he still had that sparkle in his eye. His final act was to donate the proceeds of his estate to the “Make A Wish Foundation”. That guy knew how to leave a party.
John Baraldi of Chelmsford was a regular visitor here at Roberts Motor Parts. He did business with my parents when they got started. He was here often right up until the time he passed. I am sad that he is no longer with us, but thrilled that he is back with his beloved wife Ann.
Gary Sr. met Mearl Zeigler at Hershey before Roberts Motor Parts even existed. Mearl was supportive and encouraging when he helped my Dad get started. Mearl and his wife Carolyn were dear friends of my folks. They spent many happy days together at Carlisle and Hershey in the 70’s and 80's.
Given our collective fear regarding Covid-19 and the current political climate I am truly grateful for the escape my job and this hobby has provided me with. I promise you all that this will end. I can't wait for handshakes, awkward hugs and bad car show food, I'm sure you feel the same.
Take Care,
Gary Roberts Jr.
