Shipping & Handling

It is not our policy to use Shipping and Handling as a profit center.  Our goal in that area is to deliver parts to the customer promptly, in new condition, and to cover the expense to do so.  Auto Parts are inherently heavy by nature.  Some of the items that we sell are oversized and we will charge a sufficient shipping & handling charge to cover the expense to deliver those items. 

Generally speaking our shipping policy is as follows:

Our minimum domestic ground shipping charge is $11.00. The minimum foreign shipping charge is $20.00.  In most cases those amounts will cover the cost of freight on orders up to $100.00 if there are no heavy or oversized items.  After $100.00 freight is 10% of the parts total unless there are heavy or oversized items in which case it may be more than the 10%.  

To the best of our ability we have set up this site to compute the shipping and handling cost as accurately as possible.  However, having the online site compute 100% accurate freight cost every time for all of the different types of products that we carry is impossible.  If you are like me and you want to know exactly what your freight cost is going to be I would strongly encourage you to use the site for informational purposes and call in your order when you are ready.  If you have placed an online order and you feel that the amount of freight that you have been charged is unfair or unreasonable please call us and we would be happy to discuss it with you.  If there is an instance in which an oversized or very heavy item has been ordered and there is what we consider a large difference in the cost of the shipping and handling we will contact you and get your approval for the additional charge before we process your order. 

This website is not set up to handle express or airmail requests, if you have those types of shipping requirements please call the office we will be happy assist you.  If I have failed to address any question that you might have in regard to shipping and handling please give us a call and I will be happy to discuss them with you.  In 2012 Roberts Motor Parts had one damaged claim and one lost package in the entire year and we shipped over seven thousand packages.
